Ergot is a highly toxic fungus that causes hallucinations. It was often used as a drug during initiation rites in ancient Greece. The installation represents a kind of initiation tube and is similar in shape to ergot. The construction is made of bent metal rods and covered with white and black tulle. The white and black tulle moirés when peering out, alienates the outside view and directs the gaze inwards. The soft, unstable straw floor within the installation makes walking difficult and additionally alienates the physical perception.
